Zoom Freak 5 ‘Nigerian Nightmare’

Description

Dubbed the Nike Zoom Freak 5 “Nigerian Nightmare” this colorway of Giannis’ latest shoe with Nike comes done in an official color palette of Geode Teal, Jade Ice, Purple Ink, and Total Orange as the low top performance model starts off with a purple mesh construction on the upper which is then joined by teal synthetic leather overlays helping blur the line between lifestyle and performance. To provide further contrast we see pops of Total Orange on the medial Swooshes, lower and upper eyelets, and the Nike and Greek Freak branding on the tongues and heels. Large light green Swooshes in suede on the lateral, a purple midsole with orange speckling, and a semi-translucent outsole round out the main details. If you’re wondering where the name “Nigerian Nightmare” comes from, the name pays tribute to Kamaru Usman, the popular UFC Welterweight who’s often called the “Nigerian Nightmare.” In a recent interview, Usman himself acknowledged Giannis as the “Nigerian Nightmare” of basketball.
